Training Camp AFL Style
Date of Event : Thu Nov 2, 2017 11:59AM

Congratulations to first round century maker Jake Weidemann (111) who was hand picked by the AFL talent scouts to attend a training camp at Prince Alfred College where future draught prospects were put through numerous physical training exercises in a bid to identify young talented footballers on their pathway to professional football. Jake came to prominence after being promoted to the Woodville West Torrens Reserves team very early in the season where despite breaking a bone in his hand in his first game and overcoming influenza mid season did enough to suggest he is a good chance of being drafted into the AFL system on Friday 24th November. Good luck Jake, but from a selfish point of view one would love to be watching his cricket talents develop further over the coming years as he has wonderful potential as a high order batsman.
