Never Too Old
Date of Event : Thu Jan 18, 2018 11:04AM

One must be impressed with the fighting spirit of our Over 50’s team that have been punching above their weight in this newly formed league. Coming up against former first class and A Grade District cricketers most games they have been completely swamped by the opposition in the four games they have played so far, but a feature of their game has been the “never say die’ attitude of the whole side and the enjoyment derived from each others company. Great work boys and a huge thanks to Aiden Plumridge for being the administrator of the side.

Also this coming Sunday (21st) a Grange Veterans team will turn out against the SA Over 60’s team on the Grange Number 2 ground led by former Dolphin player Geoff Field. This is the sixth successive year this game has been held with the “Geoff Field Cup” up for grabs once again. The win/loss count stands at two wins each plus a tie so it promises to be another “hotly” contested game for bragging rights over the next 12 months.
